Ergonomic interventions have been shown to yield benefits for the employer in the form of reduction in lost time and retraining costs due to employee injury, reduced mod rates for WC insurance premiums, reduced payouts (if self-insured), productivity enhancement due to efficiency improvement and increased employee morale, as well as decreased absenteeism.
